Immune boosting smoothie
Try this spicy orange smoothie recipe for a morning immune booster.
Juice of 1 orange
2 x thumb of ginger
1 heaped tsp organic turmeric
Blend together with some ice and add a dash of extra virgin olive oil and black pepper. These are undetectable and will help the body to absorb the nutrients from the ingredients.
Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C, carrots contain beta-carotene which converts to vitamin A – a strong anti-oxidant, and ginger and turmeric are known for their powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
